That's what I felt like yesterday evening! Who knew garage sales were so much work?? Between collecting donations, sorting, pricing, hauling in and out of our friend's garage and doing marketing... phew! I have to thank my hubby, my sweet grandma, our parents, and our friends who hosted for putting up with us and helping us do all of the above work!!!! I had no idea it would be so exhausting! :)
We received an incredible amount of donations!! I lost count, but I believe we had 6 SUV's full, a trailer full and a truck bed full. Plus a few extras. We had tons of furniture, some sporting goods, electronics, a whole book shelf full of books, puzzles and magazines, two tables full of adult clothes, 2 blankets full of housewares, a blanket of toys and baby clothes that went on for days. People were so generous with their donations. We only sold about 1/2 of it, but made $750!! I learned that garage sale shoppers are not as generous as garage sale donors :) We're still grateful with the turn out, though. Our leftovers ended up going to a ministry that works with homeless and recovering alcoholics.
In other news, we recently hit 3 months of waiting for a referral. We are currently sitting at #41 for a boy and #53 for a girl.
